Mayron Cole composed these ensembles specifically for her
students in the very early beginning piano levels. The
ensembles are written for multiple piano parts to be played at
separate pianos or keyboards. At first, all students play the
same rhythm; as they advance, they learn to play different rhythms
as the same time. Each ensemble has a teacher's part &
some also have a conductor's score. They vary from 4-6
pianos. Orchestrated accompaniments are also
available.
These students never say, "I just can't play when someone else
is playing!" OR "It makes me nervous to play in front of
other people!"
Some
of the Christmas ensembles have words so the students play and sing
at the same time.
These are original compositons for the piano. They are
not band arrangements which have been re-written for
piano.
